As Sunkem, we intend to create better future with R&D investments, production and post-production processes to protect the environment.

We predicate on both national and international regulations as standard for our environmental management system.

We review periodically our aims for environmental policy and try to protect health of humanity.

We care to raise environmental awareness of our employees by trainings and practices.

Our main principle is reducing the waste of production by the way of usage of raw materials, energy and technology.

Environmental protection and raising the awareness about environmental protection is the primary assignment of Sunkem employees.

HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY

Sunkem specially cares protection of human rights on business processes, and support it by model implementations.

On business relations in Sunkem mother language, religious belief, race, creed, gender,political opinion and philosophical belief are not discriminate employees.

Gender or pregnancy does not make any difference in preparation, implementation and termination of labor contract unless risk of the work, safety of the labor or laws oblige the company to do the opposite.

Gender, religious belief, race, creed, political opinion and philosophical belief does not differ the wage for equal jobs. Hiring, assignment and promotion will be done according to performance criteria, not to mother language, religious belief, race, creed, gender, political opinion or philosophical belief.

Sunkem attends to mainstream respectful and mindful implementations about human rights through employees and all the other partners in value chain. Child employment or forced and compulsory labor is forbidden in Sunkem as a result of this policy.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

As Sunkem, our principle is about “clean, healthy and high quality production” and being obliged to this, we try to build up the necessary consciousness and culture about occupational health and safety for all of our employees including the senior management.

We also believe that all the work accidents and occupational illnesses are preventable.

We shape all our work with this perspective and we continuously improve ourselves.

In our all activities, we take the legal regulation about occupational health and safety as the minimum standard.

We continuously arrange trainings to raise awareness for all our employee to ensure their health and safety.

We make sure that all of our employees, suppliers and visitors follow the rules of occupational health and safety.

We detect the factors that may lead to work accidents or occupational illness, in advance and create solutions.

We closely monitor the technological developments in occupational health and safety area and canalize our investments in accordance with them.

We continuously keep our works to create healthy working environment by ensuring that all our employees and suppliers participate to all processes.

SUSTAINABLE PURCHASEMENT POLICY

Sunkem’s Sustainable Purchasement Policy is based upon the rules and principles of Work Ethic and Morality, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Human Rights Policy and Quality Policy. Our Sustainable Purchasement Policy is an indicator of our commitment to human rights and basic work principles, trust and respect on each of our operations and our relations with all of our partners.

The aim of purchasement policy of Sunkem is to obtain the continuity and enforcement of the human rights, employee rights and our sustainability policy by expanding them to our supply chain. We expect from our suppliers to share and develop our policies to achieve that aim. For continuous improvement, we encourage our suppliers for providing feedback and share results of implementations.

Sunkem base on basic principles listed below for selecting suppliers.
